The International Epidemiological Association (IEA) is a global network of epidemiologists and has more than 2000 members in 100 different countries. IEA facilitates communication amongst scientists who are engaged in research, teaching and practice of Epidemiology. IEA also encourages use of epidemiology in all fields of health including Social, Community and Preventive Medicine and Public Health Nutrition.
South East Asian Chapter of International Epidemiological Association (IEA) is organizing a “Workshop cum Training on Epidemiology of Non-Communicable Diseases" from 10th April 2017 to 15th April 2017 at Pokhara, Nepal.
The theme of the conference is “Epidemiology of Non-Communicable Diseases”.
The Workshop cum Training will consist of oral presentations and group exercises on different topics in Non-Communicable Diseases. It will cover epidemiology, burden, determinants, evidence based public health interventions, multi-sectoral actions, cancer registration and cancer control, mainstreaming mental, surveillance, research priorities, monitoring, evaluation and measuring cost effectiveness of interventions. It will also cover National Programmes on Non-Communicable Diseases, roadmap and challenges for integration of different NCDs. The Workshop cum Training will also focus on public health approaches for management of non-communicable diseases.
The Workshop cum Training is being organized keeping in view of requirements of Practicing Epidemiologist, Faculty and Post-graduate Students in Medical and Public Health Schools, Home Science Colleges, Programme Managers, Health and Family Welfare Training Centres and Research Institutions in developing countries.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the “Workshop cum Training on Non-Communicable Diseases".
We have limited seats and only first 60 participants will be registered. The Workshop cum Training is Residential and is being organized in Grand Hotel, Pokhara, Nepal.
We would be most grateful if you will kindly get yourself registered at an early date.
The Workshop cum Training is being organized on Self Sustaining Basis and hence all the participants are required to be registered. However, we have limited Scholarships for young Scientists to partially meet travel/accommodation.
WE HAVE LIMITED FUNDS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP, PLEASE DO APPLY FOR THE SAME, AFTER COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION FORMALITIES
